Festive Drinks - Change the Mix this Festive Season

Ten healthy drinking tips to help you through festive occasions.

Keep healthy this festive season and try our ten healthy drinking tips:

  1. Have one to two alcohol-free days a week - all year, and especially when the Christmas parties start!
  2. Drink light beer
  3. Set a limit to your drinking time
  4. Don't drink on an empty stomach - eat before and during drinking
  5. Start with a juice or soft drink to quench your thirst
  6. Drink slowly and don't top up drinks
  7. Refill your own glass
  8. Have water or other drinks in between alcoholic drinks
  9. Avoid shouts and drink at your own pace
  10. Do something else while you drink - have a meal; play a game of pool or cards
