TPI Campaign for Fair Compensation
The TPI Federation is currently running a campaign to request that the Government reinstate fair compensation for all Special Rate/Totally & Permanently Incapacitated (SR/TPI) Veterans.
The SR/TPI compensation comprises notionally of two components – 100% disabilitity General Rate is compensation for pain and suffering and the Above General Rate is the economic loss component of the compensation.
The Federation has written to then Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, – Click Here to read the letter – on the 20th April 2015. The Prime Minister responded in a letter dated 9th June 2015 – click here to read his letter.
The Federation is very disappointed that Mr Abbott had felt it necessary to ignore the main conjecture of the letter that was sent to him.
The Federation then wrote to the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, on the 25th October 2015 asking for a genuine re-consideration of the Federation’s quest. To-date, Mr Turnbull has not responded.
For this reason the TPI Federation began the petition on the petition.org website. The petition can be found HERE
The Federation requests that all Australians consider the argument and support the Federation in our attempts to maintain a standard of living equivalent to the average minimum wage and regain dignity in today’s society.
